BFW SS16 Guide book with goodie bag

Bristol Fashion Week happens twice a year and is held at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway. The event hosts 17 shows spanning 5 days and is hosted by Mark Heyes and Denise Van Outen. I've attended Bristol Fashion Week every season since it began many years ago and I love the fact that the models range in dress size and age (a petite model would be dreamy though - hint hint) and also that I can go and snap up what I see on the catwalk straight after the show.

Before the show started we were treated to refreshments from Marks and Spencer and I was lucky enough to be able to grab a box of three Krispie Kreme doughnuts too, in pink to show support for Race For Life. After the show we also snapped up a goodie bag which featured samples of mascara, moisturiser and some seasonal sun cream. There is also an event guide in the bag which plays host to masses of vouchers and competitions for use in the centre. The goody bag itself is brilliant too to fold down and pop in your handbag to go shopping with or to use as a beach bag on holiday!

The show itself this season was themed around the events of the summer such as Wimbledon, Royal Ascot, Henley Regatta and Bristols very own Balloon Fiesta which was a lovely twist. Florals made their annual return to the catwalk with a large helping of stripes and bright colours. My favourite scene was 'Street Style' and featured fashion from Warehouse. While this isn't normally my go to style I loved the trainers with the 90s slip dress and the swoon-worthy gingham dress which you will see below in my picks from the show. The show also features a real makeover and the outfit which was sponsored by Coast was totally ah-mazing. It featured an embellished sequin top and a totally overdramatic but brilliant asymmetric hem yellow floral skirt with a silver bow clutch that you can carry using the bow as a handle. I would have adored to have had that makeover by Mr Mark Heyes but I'm not sure my story of "I just want a makeover and a pretty outfit" would cut it quite frankly. Below are my favourite pieces which were featured in the show I watched:
