Beauty | Rosie for Autograph Make Up Review

Rosie for Autograph Make Up Review

Marks and Spencer is not the first place I think to look when I think of Beauty. I'm in love with their cashmere jumpers and pyjamas, food and workwear but beauty wasn't ever something I had them down for until recently. I stumbled into the beauty section of my local store while christmas shopping back in October and I'm so happy that I did as I discovered so much, including the Rosie for Autograph make up range.

After passing Pixi and St Tropez I was lured like a magpie to the Rosie range by the reflections of the copper packaging. After picking up practically the whole range I decided to settle on the highlighter, eye shadow palette and finishing powder to take to the checkout.

Now gorgeous model Rosie Huntington-Whitely has collaborated with M&S before and is well known for her silky and sexy lingerie and nightwear range. She's among a number of stars working with the brand including David Gandy and Alexa Chung, who has designed a jumper I have my eye on. Sometimes celebrity collaborations can come across as a little tacky, especially with perfumes, but this beauty range is definitely not that.

Rosie for Autograph Make Up Review Starstruck Highlighter

Starstruck Highlighter - £15.00
The highlighter comes in a crayon format and has a contour crayon to compliment it. It is crazy easy to apply and I have been using it in abundance. The colour is Get The Glow which is a silvery shimmer and it really does give you a glow. I really like the silver tint to this highlighter as many others in my make up bag take on a more pink sheen to them such as my Clinique Highlighting stick. I like the fact that you can layer the highlighter for either a subtle shimmer or an all out highlight shine. The only thing I don't particularly like about the product is that I can see it running out way too fast.

Rosie for Autograph Make Up Review Eyeshadow Palette

Eyeshadow Palette - £18.00
I really debated between I feel like a million dollars and ballet slipper for the colour choices when I was in store as I adored both. In the end I chose I feel like a million dollars as the brown shades suit my complexion better than the harsher dark grey colour included with Ballet slipper. At first I was a little disappointed with the palette as I found it took a while to get the colour onto my eyelids and it wasn't as pigmented as other eyeshadows. I did find though that once I had broken through the eyeshadow compaction the powder did transfer to my eyelids well and the colours could be easily layered to the look I desired. The one thing that sells me on this product is it's amazing staying power.  It lasts all day without even the hint of a crease and this included by the tear duct where I like to sweep a white colour to make my eyes brighter and more awake.

Rosie for Autograph Make Up Review Finishing Powder

Translucent Finishing Powder - £18.00
Now this powder in my eyes is a double whammy, not only does it finish my skin and soften my look but I also found that it acts as a setting powder and improves the longevity and staying power of my make up. It's called Supermodel Silk and it's easy to work out why as there is a great feel to the product when applying it and the packaging makes it easy to only get out the powder you need without a powder explosion everywhere. It smells slightly like sherbert which I strangely love and will be a firm item in my collection and may even trump my Laura Mercier Powder but I might have to come back to you on that one.

Now I know that I've given all these products a rave review but they really do deserve it. I've had so many compliments over the last two to three weeks on my complexion and make up and I've used the products everyday. Next on my Rosie for Autograph wishlist is the Eyeshadow Palette in Ballet Slipper, Miracle Concealer and the Shimmer Body Oil.

Being christmas there are some great sets in the range now which would make great presents or treats and I do have to mention just how much I love the christmas ad from Markies this year. #LoveMrsClaus

Have you tried any of the range and if so what are your favourites? If you head over to my Instagram you can see some more cheesy selfies of myself wearing the range and if you follow on Bloglovin' you can keep put to date with future posts and beauty buys.
