So on Saturday I am officially turning 26 and just like last year I'm really not sure how to feel about it. I'm closer to 30 than 20 and it just sounds so much older than I would like to be. Inside I'm still the 10 year old Disney loving princess wannabe I once was who had a diet consisting of as much sugar as possible when the real adults weren't looking. Sixteen years on and to be honest my diet is still high sugar but it now involves naughty adult treats such as alcohol so I thought as a pre-birthday treat I would share with you a recipe for one of my favourite cocktails and reap the benefits of drinking them all in the good name of the blog.
Ingredients per cocktail:
25ml Gin1/2 Prosecco
1/2 Elderflower cordial
1 Scoop Lemon Sorbet
Raspberries & Sugar (to garnish)
Method:
- First you need to garnish glasses, I've chosen sugar rims and raspberries but feel free to customise this how you choose.
- Place a scoop of your lemon sorbet into the middle of each glass
- Pour your shot of gin over the sorbet
- Top up with prosecco and sparkling elderflower until full, I prefer to do 50:50 split for these but again it's personal preference.
