Ship Shape and Bristol Fashion Week Spring Summer 2017

So last night I went along to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway here in Bristol (now voted the best place to live in the UK may I add) for their Spring Summer 17 Bristol Fashion Week. Its an event that I attend every year, normally with my mum, as it always has something for both of us. The show I saw last night was the first of this season and I have to say I was really impressed.

One of the reasons I love the shows is the diversity they usually show with their choice of models. This year was slightly different as I couldn't pin point the 60+ model or the 'plus size' model which was a little disappointing and every year I still hold out hope for a petite model. There were however some tasty male models with cheekbones that nearly made me cry which were incredibly easy on the eye and the two child models melted everyone's hearts.

Mark Heyes from the telly presents the show alongside Henry Holland and I have to say they have fast become my favourite presenting duo for the show as they bring bundles of humour, industry inside information alongside their abundance of trend knowledge. The shows are a little different to the ones you see on feeds from London, Paris, New York and Milan as they bring modern music and feature some insane dancers to really put on a show. The different scenes look at coming trends for the season including minimalism, denim, prints and colour. Without giving too much away below are my top picks from the show...

If you fancy popping along to a show, there are 17 across the week running until Sunday (2nd April). There is also a pamper zone in the centre of the mall featuring mini manicures, eyebrow threading and beauty makeovers, all conveniently next to the prosecco bar. You also get a goody bag too when you see the show featuring a 'style guide' with loads of discount vouchers for the centre and some goodies too.

After the show I had a wander around the centre to see what new season pieces I could pick up, mainly with my holiday in mind and below are the items that I am just itching to purchase. I did pick up the Jack Wills tie back shirt above as I got FOMO as items featured in the shows are a little like hot cakes.

Have you ever been to Bristol Fashion Week? Are you going this year? I'd love to know. What do you think of the shows?
