Beauty | How to Defeat Frizzy Hair This Autumn Winter

Beauty | How to Defeat Frizzy Hair This Autumn Winter with John Frieda

I am reluctantly accepting defeat. Autumn is here.

The leaves are falling from the trees in their gorgeous golden hues and the weather has changed enough to justify buying all the cosy chunky knit jumpers around. With the change in weather and the cosy jumpers though also comes the misty mornings and rainy days which wreak absolute havoc on my hair. At the slightest hint of moisture my hair just expands with frizz.

Frizz a common issue that I know so many people, even with the healthiest and undamaged hair, suffer with and I have tried so many different products and even ways to wash my hair to try and banish frizz forever. Trust me, washing your hair in icy water does not give the desired effects and is not at all seasonal for Autumn Winter. My nipples could have cut glass. Frizz can be caused by humidity, excessive heat-based styling, chemical processing and even excessive brushing of your hair. The most prominent cause for autumn winter is the excess moisture lurking in the air. It's unavoidable and people often try to counteract it by consistently using heat to style the hair over and over.

The John Frieda Frizz Ease range could be your hair superhero this season. With multiple different options across the range to suit all hair types you can really tailor the products you choose to suit your hair type. It might be that if your hair is coloured blonde you use the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner and then use the Frizz Ease Hair Serum Thermal Protect to protect your hair from further damage and ease frizz all in one. The first step to good hair care is to identify what your hair needs.

Now I've been using the Frizz Ease Shampoo and Conditioner, fortified with Frizz Immunity Complex, for about 4 weeks and I can really see a difference in how my hair is behaving. I still get some fly-away hairs which have a mind of their own but my hair now holds in the changing weather, something it didn't stand a chance of doing before. I'm confident that with prolonged use it will only get better. I can sit outside all my favourite cafe's with my peppermint tea dreaming of Paris for as long as I want now without looking like Mia Thermopolis before her princess transformation.

For this wavy hair look I used a 1 inch barrel curling wand to wrap the hair around in sections being sure to wrap the hair away from the face. Once cool I set with a light covering of hairspray before brushing the curls through into waves.
